The Secretariat of State for the Promotion of Equality (Portuguese Acronym: SEPI) has organized a 16 day campaign (from 25 November to 10 December) in order to fight Violence against Women. The campaign is entitled “Law against Domestic Violence: Protect me, by protecting my family”.
The opening ceremony will take place on November 25, at 9am, in the “Happiness” Field, Catholic Primary School of the Baucau District.
During the 16 day duration of the campaign, several training and awareness sessions will take place, regarding the Law against Domestic Violence. Up to December 10, the Districts of Baucau, Manatuto, Díli, Ailue, Ermera, Liquiça, Bobonaro, Covalima, Ainaro, Manufahi, Lautem and Viqueque will be the place for these activities, as well as the dialogue and seminar regarding Law n.o 7/2010, of 7 July, the Law against Domestic Violence.
