From the 15th to the 19th of October, the III FIAR public Fair (Feto iha Servisu Ba Rasik – Self-Employed Women) will be open, with the purpose of promoting the entrepreneurship of women in the rural areas and the ability of creating their own employment. The Fair will take place in the Gymnasium of the Timor Lorosa’e University and opens its doors at 5 p.m.

The III FIAR Fair is a joint organization between the Ministry of Economy and Development (Portuguese acronym MED), through IADE (Institute of the Support for the Business Development), the Secretariat of State for the Promotion of Equality (Portuguese acronym SEPI) and the Secretariat of State for the Professional Training and Employment (Portuguese acronym SEFOPE). The IADE has joined this initiative to promote employment for women, through technical capacity building and business management for businesswomen and facilitating access to the market for small and medium companies.
Around 50 women will exhibit products developed by them in this Fair, example of which are the tais cloth, the traditional medicines, agriculture produce, among others.
