MTCI inaugurates “Laloran Korenti Tasi” Group in Maubara

The Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Industry (MTCI) officially inaugurated the recently formed “Laloran Korenti Tasi” group in the Batudo suco, Maubara sub-district, Liquiça District.

The “Laloran Korenti Tasi” Group intends to create accommodation infrastructures in a way to provide other conditions for the tourism development.

The Director, José Dias Quintas, in representation of the Minister, pointed out that, for tourism development, the contribution of all Timorese is necessary and reinforced the confidence layed upon this new group, that will contribute, for sure, to this purpose.

José Dias Quintas also added that when a Group registers progress, solidity and consolidation, it is due to compromise in the commitment to its functions and that the Government is ready to support any activity developed by the community, and thus contributing for the development of the Country. He also had the opportunity to set a challenge to the community, for them to have initiative towards in regards to activities that favour Timor-Leste’s development.

The Batubou Suco Chief, António Martins, recognizing the success of initiatives from groups such as “Laloran Korenti Tasi” group, “Haburas” group and the “Raimaran” group, promised to support all the existent groups in the Suco that manifest the will in contributing to national development.

The “Laloran Korenti Tasi” group coordinator, Marcino Vidigal was pleased with the perspective of support from all social levels, in particularly from the Maubara sub-district, since he considers that the area has a touristic potential, realizing its purpose towards the Country’s development.

Present at this ceremony were the National Director for Fisheries, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries’s Chief of Staff, the Haburas Foundation Director, the Maubara sub-district Administrator, local authorities and the Batubou Suco community.
