The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Bendito dos Santos Freitas, is accompanying the President of the Republic, José Ramos-Horta, and his delegation on state visit to Angola from July 7th to 10th, with the aim to further strengthening relations between the two countries.
The Head of State and the Delegation arrived at Luanda International Airport on July 7th, where they were received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Angola, Téte António and Ambassador of Angola to Timor-Leste.
According to official calendar, on Monday July 8th, President José Ramos Horta will have a bilateral meeting with his angolan counterpart, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço. During this visit, a co-operation protocol between Timor-Leste and Angola will also be signed, among other agreements.
Futhermore, from July 5th to 6th, President José Ramos-Horta, accompanied by Minister Bendito Freitas and the Ambassador of Timor-Leste to Mozambique, Luis Miguel, made a State visit to Mozambique, at the official invitation of the President of Mozambique, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi.
