Timor-Leste congratulates Prime Minister Julia Gillard

 

The Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Xanana Gusmão, on behalf of the Government and the people of Timor-Leste, wishes to extend warmest regards and congratulations to the Honourable Julia Gillard on her election as Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia.

“The people of Australia and Timor-Leste enjoy a strong and mature friendship which will continue under the ongoing leadership of Prime Minister Gillard. There will be matters of significance that our Governments will discuss in the shared interests of our people and I look forward to working together in a true spirit of friendship and solidarity.”
