The Secretary of State of General Secondary Education and Vocational Secondary Education, Domingos Lopes Lemos, represented Timor-Leste at the 7th International Conference on Language and Education, with the theme “Multilingual Education for Transformative Education Systems and Resilient Futures”. The event occurred in Bangkok, Thailand, from October 4th to 6th, 2023.
Accompanied by the Coordinator of the Multilingual Education Programme (EMULI), Veronica Godinho, the Secretary of State joined representatives from various countries during the conference organised by the Asia-Pacific Multilingual Education Working Group.
The conference provided a discussion space for policymakers, researchers, and development professionals to exchange experiences and discuss practices and research in multilingual education.
