The Minister of Health, Élia A.A. dos Reis Amaral, accompanied the President of the Republic, José Ramos-Horta, during his visit to the People’s Republic of China hospital ship “Peace Ark”, which docked at the Port of Dili on September 3rd, 2023.
Until September 10th, Chinese specialists on board the Peace Ark will carry out medical exams and provide medical services to the community. The Chinese doctors will also visit various national institutions, including Health Centres and the Guido Valadares National Hospital. 
The Minister of Health called on the population to seize this opportunity to receive free specialised consultations. 
The visit to the Peace Ark was also attended by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Timor-Leste, Xu Danyang, and the Lieutenant General of the F-FDTL, Falur Rate Laek.
