Thirty Timorese students, subsidised by the Ministry of Education, leave this week to Australia and New Zealand to finalize their academic studies. From these thirty students, twenty go to Australia and ten to New Zealand.

The farewell ceremony counted with the presence of the Minister of Education João Câncio Freitas who reminded that these scholarships started in 2000, where the number of students with scholarship to Australia and New Zealand is increasing annually. The Minister of Education also pointed out the importance of this student support program for the qualification of human resources and the development of this new Nation.

The Australian and New Zealand Ambassadors were also present in the farewell ceremony.
