Note of condolence for the death of Luis Lobato, former Vice-Minister of Health

The Government deeply laments the passing away, early this morning, of Luis Lobato,  former Vice-Minister of Health of the 1st and 7th Constitutional Governments of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.

Luis Lobato was born in Leorema, Liquiçá Municipality. He studied Nursing in Jakarta, Indonesia, and was the Coordinator of FRETILIN in the Liquiçá Municipality.

Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak expressed “deep condolences to the family of the late Luis Lobato” and said that “our thoughts and prayers are with the family, colleagues and friends of the late Luis Lobato”.

The Government Spokesperson, the Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Fidelis Manuel Leite Magalhães, on behalf of the Council of Ministers and the entire Government, presented his most heartfelt condolences to Luis Lobato’s family and friends and stated that his dedication and contribution to the development of our nation will always be remembered with great admiration and respect.
