The Minister of Education (ME) will carry out the 1st conference about inclusive education in Timor-Leste during the 11th and 12th of May, in the João Paulo II Center in Comoro, Díli, with the theme “The Development of Education for All”. This conference has the objective of perfecting the participants’ knowledge and perspectives in a way that ensure the common knowledge on the issue and develop an inclusive education policy in Timor-Leste.

The invited speakers to this conference are: Dr. João Câncio Freitas, Minister of Education, Mrs. Adalgisa Ximenes, National Commissioner for Childrens’ Rights, Dr. Sheldon Shaeffer, Education Advisor (former UNESCO advisor for Education issues), Mrs. Yangxia Lee, Director for the El Centro, Laos Ministry of Education, Mrs. Frances Gentle, Education expert from Australia and Mrs Kristiyanti, Helen Keller International, Indonesia.
