The Government and UNICEF marked the World Children’s Day, which is celebrated on November 20th, with a ceremony at the Government Palace, in Dili.
During an event, led by the Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Fidelis Manuel Leite Magalhães, on behalf of the Government, and by the UNICEF representative in Timor-Leste, Valerie Taton, the Government Palace building was illumined display in blue, to mark the importance of children’s rights and the need for all of us to reimagine a world where children come first.
Development partners and diplomatic corps also participated in the ceremony.
