The Minister of State of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Agio  Pereira said that “the Government of Timor-Leste is taking concrete measures to protect the Timorese people and ensure the security of our nation”, stressing that “there is nothing more important than the health and safety of our people”.

The Minister of Transport and Communications, José Agostinho da Silva, said that “it is the responsibility of our Government to maintain an air transit route to ensure that we can continue to bring material to help us deal with the challenges arising from COVID-19.”
