Civil Servants from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers receive training in Portugal

Ten civil servants from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) went to Portugal for training in management and leadership”, in the National Press – Casa da Moeda (in Portuguese INCM). This initiative is part of the Cooperation Agreement between the PCM and INCM for the areas of training and technical advisory, signed in 2013.

For the Secretary of State for the Council of Ministers, Avelino Coelho, the “PCM recognizes the importance of collaboration with a high-level institution such as INCM, as well as its capacity to train Timorese Officials”.

On the agenda were also work meetings and visits to providers of graphic technological equipment (November 8th and 9th) and the 11th Forum of Official Printing Houses of Portuguese Language (November 10th to 12th), where the PCM’s Director-General, Victor Maia, developed the theme “The evolution of Timor-Leste’s Nacional Printing House”. This institution is currently undergoing restructuring and modernisation. In his speech, the Director-General considered created “the organizational basis for a corporate strategy, defined on the basis of the proposals from the current governing body for the coming years, implying a profound revision of methodologies, techniques, procedures and traditional functions of publisher-printing houses”.

The training ends on November 18th.
