Grant Day-Off on July 6th

The Government has decided to grant a day-off on July 6th, 2016, to all employees and agents of the ministries, their dependent services, and the institutes and integrated indirect administration bodies of the State.

Following Order N. 002/2016/I/PM from January 29th, and in consultation with the Diocese and the Islamic Community Centre of Timor-Leste, the mobile holidays for 2016 were assigned.

On the occasion of the Muslim community’s Idul Fitri festivities, the whole day of July 6th is granted as day-off. July 7th will continue to be a holiday.

This decision is based on Law N. 10/2005, of August 10th, which determines national holidays, official commemorative dates and days-off, and takes into account the celebrations, religious ceremonies and family gatherings organized during this festive season.
