The National Parliament (NP) approved today, December 3, 2015 the State Budget (SB) for 2016, in generality, with 65 votes in favor, zero against and zero abstentions.

This will now be followed by discussion and voting of each individual section of the Budget which, in accordance with the National Parliament Rules, cannot exceed 10 days, starting tomorrow, December 4.

Until December 13, a Provisional Committee for Collection and Analysis of Proposals for Consensual Amendments will appreciate the amendments to present to the plenary , as well as the single substitute text ( with approved proposals ), which will be voted on after discussion by the Members of Parliament. The approved text will then be incorporated in the draft law.

After the conclusion of the discussion and voting of all the articles of the draft law, a final overall vote on the text of the draft law with the approved amendments will be conducted and the final document, the General State Budget Law for 2016, will then be sent to the President of the Republic for promulgation
