CPLP Youth Forum “Youngsters, a new paradigm for a global transformation

Under the scope of the Rotational Presidency of CPLP, Timor-Leste will host the CPLP Youth Forum, between the 9th and 12th of November, in Díli.
The CPLP Youth Forum, as a non-governmental organisation for youth in CPLP member states, has the mission to maintain and deepen friendship, cooperation, solidarity and intercultural dialogue between Portuguese speaking youngsters.

Seminar: “Youngsters, a new paradigm for a global transformation”
Presentation of the themes:
- “CPLP and Globalisation”, by the representative of the executive secretariat of CPLP, Dr. Philip dos Santos Baverstock
- “Education and challenges of globalisation”
- “Youngsters and entrepreneurship in the global world”
- “Cultural identity versus globalisation”
- “The role and special challenges for women within the global transformation”


10th November

General Statutory Assembly
Agenda:
- Start of the agenda items for the General Statutory Assembly
- Discussion and revision of the statutes
- Discussion and approval of the articles of incorporation of the Youth Forum
- Indication of the managerial positions for the governing bodies of the Youth Forum
- Closing of the General Statutory Assembly

Celebration of the National Youth Day in Timor-Leste (in memory of the 1991 Santa Cruz massacre)
Program:
- Participation in the 12th of November mass
- Long march from Motael Church to Santa Cruz Cemetery
- Reading and signature of the “Díli Declaration”
- Closing dinner and cultural evening
