The Prime Minister, Rui Maria de Araújo, inaugurated the Nicolau Lobato Training Centre (NLTC), on July 5th, at the Suco of Leorema, on the Administrative Post of Bazartete, in the Municipality of Liquiçá.
NLTC provides training to Timorese, in the area of domestic economy promotion, through the practice of floriculture and horticulture.
“I am proud of this practice to develop the domestic economy. Luis Lobato [acting as a local businessman], then Deputy Minister of Health, inaugurated here with me the Family Health Program. And now, here we are again doing another initiative, this time is the method of development of the family economy through the practice of floriculture and horticulture”, highlighted the Prime Minister.
It were, then, distributed handbooks and accessories for the training of 53 NLTC trainees (42 men and 10 women) from 12 municipalities.
The Prime Minister praised the businessmen Luis Lobato – for his commitment in an area of business activity as specific as the floriculture and horticulture in Leorema – and Lino Lopes – for their commitment to horticulture activity in Loes, in the Municipality of Same.
“It’s a great this idea, that of associating pioneers and promoters in the household economy. It comes towards the aspiration of the people, to build a nation from the ground up, with families spending the available financial resources, through the practice of horticulture and floriculture “, continued the Prime Minister.
The Head of Government and his delegation also visited, on this occasion, the new Health Office and Nicolau Lobato High School. The Prime Minister then spoke to the students: “Be dedicated and devoted to the study. As for the lack of books, the Government will strive to surpass your needs, through the Ministry of Education.”
