Group History and Culture visits SECOMSThe Secretary of State for Social Communication (SECOMS), Merício Juvenal dos Reis "Akara" received students from the school of Santa Madalena de Canossa, which are part of the Group History and Culture (GIK - acronym in Tetum) with the motto "We children think in History and Culture ". The meeting was held at the Government Palace on September 20, 2018.
Mericio "Akara" said that "children are the future, so we should look at them carefully, make a strong investment in them, support their creativity and initiative. Start preparing them right now, prepare them talent, character and ability. "
"Children also have creativity and innovative thinking, so we should start thinking about making room for them to maximize and improve their programs," said Akara.
The Group History and Culture comes from the school of Santa Madalena de Canossa, in Comoro, Díli. The group is made up of 45 primary, fourth and fifth grade students.
The group carries out activities of dissemination and dialogue with children, cultural dance, theater, resistance stories, traditional music, story writing, poetry research and visits to historical places. In addition they have audiovisual activities such as the making of films about historical facts and presentations of art in science through orality.
