On May 22nd, in the name of the Government of Timor-Leste, the Ministry of Finance, held a meeting with the development partners, called Yellow Road Workshop, with the aim of engaging development partners in the discussion of national priorities and planning activities, so as to create a more appropriate coordination mechanism for the planning and implementation of the development programs.

At the meeting, the Ministry of Finance, presented the results on the implementation of the 2012-2013 budget, such as economic growth, inflation, employment and public investment, and the impact these results had on the economy.

The Minister of Finance, Emília Pires, declared in the opening session that, "the development partners in Timor-Leste are not only ambassadors and donors, but are also the civil society, the private sector, the church and the investors. That is why being together in this meeting is so important, so that we may be able to produce some results. It is important to distribute tasks so that the Government is not the only entity responsible for the implementation. It is our expectation that by discussing the issues, we will seek the best mechanisms so that Timor-Leste may achieve the goals in the Strategic Development Plan for 2030. "

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Social Solidarity, Isabel Amaral Guterres, the President of the Civil Service Commission, Libório Pereira, the development partners, NGOs, the Civil Society and National and General Directors from each Ministry.
