Government Opening of the Viqueque District Power Substation

He concluded that “electricity is critical infrastructure and that’s why the IV Constitutional Government, headed by Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, made ​​the decision to make electricity a priority. It develops small industries and all other infrastructure, enabling us to improve the lives of all Timorese. “

The Viqueque District Administrator, Francisco da Silva, thanked the Government for the investment and appealed “to the technicians who work at the Viqueque power substation to ensure equipment maintenance and the sustainability of the electricity in the District.” He also appealed to “the population to be reasonable and to negotiate peacefully if it’s necessary to intervene on their land because of the power line.”
