CANDIDATURES AND RELATED LITIGATION

● by March 5th – constitution of party coalitions and notification to CNE;

● by March 15th – submission of candidate lists to the STJ/Court of Appeal;

● by March 25th – STJ/Court of Appeal verifies candidatures (regularity of files, authenticity of documents, eligibility of candidates) and notifies candidates’ representatives;

● by March 26th – appeal to the STJ/Court of Appeal Panel against decisions of admission/rejection of candidatures;

● By March 28th – STJ/Court of Appeal Panel decides on appeals filed against decisions to admit/reject candidatures;

● March 27th or 29th – Publication in the Official Gazette of the definitively admitted candidatures;

● March 28th or 30th – Drawing of the admitted candidatures for sorting on ballot papers + display of the minute.


ESTABLISHMENT OF POLLING CENTERS AND POLLING STATIONS

● April 21st – STAE releases the number and location of polling centres and polling stations.


ELECTION CAMPAIGN

● April 19th to May 18th – Election campaign period.


ELECTION AND TABULATION OF RESULTS

● May 21st (7 am to 3 pm) – Election Day;

● May 21st – Start of vote counting at the polling centres and subsequent dispatch of the ballot boxes for municipal/regional tabulation;

● May 21st – Start of vote counting and tabulation of results at overseas polling centres;

● May 21st to 23rd – Municipal/regional tabulation of results and dispatch of electoral minutes and other elements (claimed ballots and complaints filed) to CNE;

● May 24th to 27th – National tabulation of results (CNE);

● May 27th to 30th – CNE prepares the minutes of the provisional tabulation of national results and posts minutes at its headquarters;

● May 29th to June 1st – Deadline to appeal the provisional national results to the STJ/Court of Appeal Panel;

● May 31st to June 3rd – STJ/Court of Appeal Panel decides the appeals filed;

● May 30th -June 2nd – CNE dispatch the minutes of the results to STJ/Court of Appeal if no appeals have been filed;

● June 4th and 6th – The Court of Appeal reviews the documentation sent by the CNE, validates and proclaims the results;

● by June 7th – Publication in the Official Gazette of the Decision of the Court of Appeal
