Meeting of the Council of Ministers on January 26th, 2022
The Council of Ministers met, at the Government Palace, in Dili, and approved the draft Government Resolution, presented by the Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak, to appoint Ageu Jorge Cardoso, to hold the position of Executive Director of the National Agency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (Portuguese acronym – ANAPMA), in a four-year secondment regime.
This was followed by a presentation by the Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Planning and Territory, José Maria dos Reis, on the status of the implementation of the projects funded by the infrastructure fund. The main results of the management and execution of the Infrastructure Fund of the Secretariat for Major Projects (SGP – Portuguese acronym), of the verification and inspection services carried out by the National Development Agency, I. P. (ADN – Portuguese acronym), of the procurement processes of the infrastructure fund projects of the National Procurement Commission (CNA – Portuguese acronym) and also of the implementation of the April 4th flood response projects were presented by the technical working group. The members of the Council of Ministers also analysed the main challenges encountered and the solutions and recommendations for improving the implementation of projects funded by the infrastructure fund.
