Government meets Royal Brunei Airlines to discuss national civil aviation

The Minister of State of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Agio Pereira, met today, August 15 , 2019, with representatives of the Royal Brunei Airlines, at the Government Palace in Dili.

The meeting aimed to discuss possible partnerships to ensure national air transport and connectivity between Timor-Leste and the rest of the world, avoiding the isolation imposed by the competitive market of the airline industry.

Royal Brunei Airlines is a State company of Brunei Darussalam, established on November 18, 1974, which currently travels in 24 air routes in Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East.

The meeting was also attended by experts of the law firm DLA Piper, a company that has lawyers in more 40 countries in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific and customers around the world.
