Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of July 13th, 2018
The Government met in the Government Palace in Dili and analyzed the strategic technical plan for the preparation of the General State Budget for 2018, presented by the Acting Minister of Finance, Sara Lobo Brites. The plan evaluated by the members of the Government presents recommendations for the methodology, calendar and options for scenarios and factors determining the fiscal ceiling for the General State Budget for 2018, considering the objectives of the Strategic Development Plan, fiscal sustainability and quality budget execution.
The Council of Ministers approved the proposal presented by the Acting Minister of Finance in Exercise of Government Decree regarding the 2nd amendment to Decree No. 1/2018, of January 12, on Budget Execution in the Duodecimal Regime. The approved Government Decree introduces the adjustments that are required in budget execution in a duodecimal regime, such as an amendment to the organic classification rule in order to reflect the organic of the VIII Constitutional Government and the exception of the execution through duodecimal methods of the payments related to pensions for the elderly, the disabled, and the beneficiaries of the program “Bolsa da Mãe”.
Finally, the Government approved the proposal presented by the Acting Minister of Finance on the final maximum for the temporary budget appropriations for the month of July 2018, with a value of US $ 88,858,422. ENDS
