Day Off on November 3, 2017
The Government decided to grant a Day Off, on November 3, to all employees and agents of the ministries or of their dependent services, as well as of the institutes and integrated indirect State administration bodies, to mark National Women’s Day, celebrated on November 3.
This date celebrates women as a partner with equal rights, at the constitutional level, but also under the cultural perspective, of inclusion and social value of women in Timorese society.
This decision is based on Law no. 10/2005, of August 10, which allows that days off can be granted for reasons of national events, in this particular case, National Women’s Day. ENDS
