"More Portuguese" Book Fair in Liquiça
The More Portuguese Project, financed by the Civil Society Support Office of the Office of the Prime Minister, organizes the More Portuguese Book Fair in Liquiça, together with the Portuguese Embassy in Timor-Leste. The event will take place on October 20 and 21, at the Liquiçá General Secondary School, from 10 am to 5 pm.
In addition to the sale of books, various recreational activities will be promoted, especially targeted at children and youngsters, such as reading books, role-playing with puppets, film/short film viewings, experimentation, interpretation and illustrations activities, poetry recitals, a reading contest and a Peddy-paper. The presentation of the book "Flavors of Lusophony" by chef Luís Simões will also take place and a small Gastronomic Show will be held. The two musical moments of the Fair will be the responsibility of João Rocha, with the concert "Music goes to the School" and the Group Gilberto Gasparetto and Guests, with the Mix Brazil Concert.
The initiative counts on the collaboration of the Booksellers Livros&Companhia, Plural Editores, Livraria Central and Haktuir Ai-Knanoik, the Liquiçá School Learning and Training Centre (in Portuguese CAFE), AICEP-Portugal and the Brazilian Embassy. The following companies also sponsor the event: Timor-Telecom, BNU Timor, FORTUNA LOROSAE, Águas de Portugal, Primos Boot and Páteo.
