PCA Announces Breakthrough in Maritime Boundary Conciliation Proceedings

The Permanent Court of Arbitration has issued a press release announcing “Timor-Leste and Australia Achieve Breakthrough in Maritime Boundary Conciliation Proceedings.”

The release follows a series of confidential meetings in Copenhagen this past week.

These meetings were part of a structured dialogue between Timor-Leste and Australia being conducted by a Conciliation Commission pursuant to the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and under the auspices of the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
