Day Off on the 21st July 2017

The Government has decided to grant a day off on the 21st of July, to all employees and agents of the ministries or of their dependent services, as well as of the institutes and integrated indirect State administration bodies, due the parliamentary election to be conducted on the 22nd July.

Many registered voters do not reside in the municipality of their registration and are, therefore, required to travel in order to exercise their democratic rights.

This decision is based on Law no. 10/2005, of August 10, which allows that days off can be granted for reasons of national events, in this case in particular, an electoral date. END
