Book Fair in Gleno

Place: Ermera’s School Learning and Training Centre (in Portuguese: CAFE)
Time: 9h00 – 17h00
This book fair aims to promote the Timorese and Lusophone culture through the Portuguese language, enabling the Timorese public to access books in Portuguese, in more remote areas of the country and at very affordable prices.
In addition to the sale of books, there will also be a variety of creative and fun activities, especially for children and young people, including workshops for painting and drawing, story telling and a reading and writing competition. There will also be a musical component with the concert performance of “Music goes to school”.
This initiative is sponsored by the Civil Society Support Unit of the Prime Minister's Office, in collaboration with the Embassy of Portugal in Timor-Leste. The organizers of the event include Fundação Oriente, Ermera’s CAFE, Formar Mais project and booksellers Livros & Companhia, Plural Editores, Abut, Livraria Central and the Haktuir Ai-Knanoik group. Timor Telecom and BNU Timor are supporting the event.
