Final Results for 2015 Census to Villages delivered (“Sensu fo fila fali”)
On March 2nd, in the Dili Conventions Centre, the Directorate General of Statistics from the Ministry of Finance will deliver the results from the information collected in the 2015 Census to all municipalities and villages.
The project, entitled “Sensu fo fila fali” (Return of the Census), aims to pass to local authorities the information collected in the population and housing registration in 2015, relating to all villages. Thus, it intends to give communities a perspective on each Village and Municipality, at national level, as a way to involve communities in the Nation’s development process.
The ceremony starts at 9h30 and will have the presence of several Government members. The Minister of Finance, Santina Cardoso, the Minister of State Administration, Dionisio Babo Soares, and the Minister of Planning and Strategic Investment, Xanana Gusmão, will speak.
The presentation of the results of the Census to municipalities will start closer to noon. The Village Chiefs will receive the document at the end of the ceremony, by 17h30.
