Grant of day-off on April 2nd
The Sixth Constitutional Government of Timor-Leste has decided to grant the day-off on April 2nd, 2015 to all the public servants, staff and agents of the Ministries or dependent services, as well as the institutes and organisms integrated in the State’s indirect administration.
This decision is based on Law no. 10/2005, August 10, which determines the national holidays, the official commemorative dates and days-off. Amongst the commemorative dates is Holy Thursday, which has a variable date.
The Holy Thursday, which this year is celebrated on April 2nd, is the last day of Lent in the catholic religion’s calendar, and is one of the solemnities of great importance to the Christian Community in Timor-Leste.
