Solidarity and Condolences after the Sydney Siege
The Government of Timor-Leste stands in solidarity with the Australian people as they come to terms with the recent siege in Sydney and offers sincere condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives in this tragic event.
Police and emergency workers were faced with a very difficult situation and the Government commends them on their efforts to minimize the loss of life. The Government also recognizes the positive expressions of so many Australians calling for calm and affirming friendship and support.
Timor-Leste stands in solidarity with the people of Australia at this challenging time.
