Portugal’s Minister of Defence to visit Timor-Leste

From 25 Nov until 26 Nov

The Defence Minister of Portugal, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, is set to visit Timor-Leste on the 25th and 26th of November.
Minister Aguiar-Branco will engage in a number of meetings including a bilateral meeting with Timor-Leste’s Prime Minister and Minister of Defence and Security, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão and Secretary of State for Defence, Júlio Tomás Pinto.

November 25th

2.15 p.m.
Arrival in Dili. Reception at the airport by the Secretary of State for Defence, Director General of the Secretary of State for Defence and National Director of Strategic Planning and International Policy.

3.55 p.m.
Arrival at the Government Palace. Received by the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence and Security. The Book of Honour signature.

4.05 p.m.
Private meeting with the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence and Security.

4.25 p.m.
Bilateral meeting with Prime Minister and Minister of Defence and Security.

6 p.m.
Signing of Memorandum of Understanding.

7 p.m.
Dinner hosted by the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence and Security.

November 26th

Audience with the President of the Republic.

09h00 a.m.
Arrival at the Headquarters of the F-FDTL.

09h05 – 9h35 a.m.
Visit Courtesy of the Top Frame F-FDTL.

09h45 a.m.
Visit the National Defence Institute (IDN).

Departure. Accompanied by the Secretary of State for Defence, Director General of the Secretary of State for Defence and National Director of Strategic Planning and International Policy.
